Opera launches Opera GX, the world’s first gaming browser

The much-overlooked browser is about to become relevant again, the previously hinted at Opera GX goes into early access availability today, and offers a varieties of features and options that will make PC gaming smoother and more customizable.


Opera GX is a customisable browser built for gamers with special features, Its headline feature is definetly the GX Control panel, which allows you to define how much of your computer’s CPU or RAM you’re willing to let the browser use without impacting performance. Before gamers have to shut down their memory hungry browsers to maximize their gaming experience , but with Opera GX you can run both.


Running a game might require a lot of effort from your machine and even more if you are streaming while you play. “We came up with the GX Control feature to make people‚Äôs games run more smoothly without requiring them to compromise on what they do on the Web,” said Maciej Kocemba, product director of Opera GX.

Their are lots of customizations available on the browser, from the huge suite of sound effects, 16 million palette possibilities, exclusive wallpapers and Razer Chroma integration. The gaming browser also features a built-in ad blocker, no-log browser VPN and an accompanying GX Corner, which will host all the latest gaming news and deals.

According to Opera, the browser is still in early access at the moment but a final version is planned for launch this year. Give it a try.
